Know Anyone Like This?

MetforminAs I approach my 70th year of life, I’m truly amazed how many people my age (and even younger) I meet who are taking 5 to 10 medications (or more).

Don’t get me wrong, some of those medications are saving their lives.  Others, well…

    • Geez, Mitch. When you make a statement like that, obviously you have not read the Physician’s Desk Reference, the Bible of prescribing. Here’s the link: Look under “adverse effects”. In case you can’t find your way there, I’ll copy and paste it…

Drowsiness, lightheadedness, fatigue/tiredness, irritability, depression, headache, confusion, insomnia, dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, N/V, tachycardia/palpitations, blurred vision, nasal congestion.

I’m sorry, what’s that ninth word? Oh, yeah, insomnia.

You can shoot the messenger if you want to – I have tough skin. And, yeah, I’m glad I’m not your doctor, too.
